AMACO V-318 Rose is a deep magenta-pink underglaze that is darkest at cone 05. It becomes uneven at cone 5 and burns almost completely away at cone 10. A clear glaze helps the color at low firing, but has little effect at higher temperatures. It can be used without glaze for a matte-velvet look or with a clear glaze at lower firings. Fired between 1050–1300°C. Always test on a small sample piece first. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations and use standard precautions when handling glazes.
