AMACO C-1 Obsidian is a deep black celadon glaze inspired by the dark volcanic rock obsidian. The glaze pools in the textures and highlights fine details in the ceramic. It can be mixed 100 % with other celadon glazes. The recommended firing temperature is 1180–1240 °C. The color may vary depending on the type of clay, application, and firing, so always test the glaze on a test piece before applying it to a finished piece.
