The Mayco SW-167 Sand & Sea glaze, when fired at 1240°C, gives a sea beige transparent color, which becomes more beige with hints of grey as the temperature is increased by reduction firing.
The glazes in the Mayco Stoneware range have been developed for firing in the temperature range 1200-1300 °C, in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. Stir well before use and apply to raw fired ware in layers with a brush.
The final expression of the glaze will depend on the type of clay used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
