Mayco's stoneware glazes are developed to provide stable and beautiful results in mid-to-high fired ceramics. They are typically fired to Cone 6 but are also rated for use at higher temperatures. The glazes in the Stoneware Classic series are known for providing good depth, rich colors, and reliable expression.
Many of the glazes react clearly to texture, bringing out multiple colors and shades in the surface. Used alone, they can provide natural and vibrant color variations. One layer gives a lighter expression where the clay partially shows through, while two to three layers give a deeper and more saturated color.
