These terms and conditions apply to purchases of products through Nordglaze AS's online store.


2. Products

Nordglaze AS sells glazes, underglazes, and other ceramic-related products.

Ceramic glazes are affected by a number of factors beyond our control. The result may vary depending on, among other things:

  • clay type
  • application thickness
  • number of layers
  • Burning temperature
  • burning curve
  • Oven type
  • atmosphere in the oven (oxidation or reduction)

Product images, tests, and color samples in the online store are for guidance only. Nordglaze AS therefore cannot guarantee that identical results will be achieved.


3. Prices

All prices are listed in Norwegian kroner (NOK).

Prices include value added tax where applicable. Shipping costs are calculated separately and shown before payment.

Nordglaze AS reserves the right to correct prices in case of pricing errors, typos, or technical errors in the online store. Or if we find that the shipping cost paid initially does not cover the actual shipping cost.


4. Payment

Payment will be made via available payment solutions in the online store, for example:

  • Vipps Checkout
  • card payment
  • other available payment methods

The amount is reserved or debited according to the payment provider's terms.

For corporate clients, invoice payment can be offered upon further agreement.


5. Delivery

The goods are sent to the address provided by the customer at the time of ordering.

Normal delivery time is 2–7 business days, subject to stock availability and carrier.

Nordglaze AS uses external carriers, such as Posten/Bring, PostNord, or similar.


6. Temperature and Storage

Glazing products are water-based and can be damaged if exposed to low temperatures for extended periods.

The products should be stored and transported at a temperature of over 5 °C.

Nordglaze AS cannot guarantee product quality if the products have been exposed to frost or very low temperatures. Therefore, we strongly advise against choosing shipping solutions other than «pick-up at collection point» or direct home delivery when you are home and can receive the package. We provide no compensation, and the goods cannot be exchanged or canceled if these temperature regulations are not followed.


7. Delivery and customer responsibility

The customer is responsible for providing the correct delivery address and choosing a suitable delivery method.

For home delivery or pick-up point delivery, the customer must ensure to:

  • be available to receive the package
  • ensure the package is not left out in the cold
  • pick up the package within the carrier's deadline

Nordglaze AS cannot be held liable for damages incurred if packages are not picked up in a timely manner or are left outside in the cold after delivery.


8. Risk and Transportation

The risk of the goods is transferred to the customer when the package is handed over to the carrier.

In case of visible transport damage, the customer must document the damage with photos and contact Nordglaze AS as soon as possible.


9. Claims and Defective Goods

If the customer receives a defective or incorrectly delivered item, Nordglaze AS must be contacted as soon as possible.

Upon approved warranty claim, the customer will receive:

  • Replacement product
    or
  • Refund of the purchase price.

A complaint does not apply if the damage is due to incorrect use, improper storage, or use outside the manufacturer's recommendations.


10. Right of withdrawal and returns

The right of withdrawal applies in accordance with the Norwegian Consumer Contracts Act for private customers.

The right of withdrawal only applies to Unopened and unused products in original packaging.

Returns must be agreed upon with Nordglaze AS before the item is sent back.

Products that have been opened, used, or tested cannot be returned.

Return shipping is covered by the customer unless otherwise agreed.

The right of withdrawal typically does not apply to business customers.


11. Results when using glaze

Ceramic glazes can yield different results depending on factors beyond Nordglaze AS's control.

Nordglaze AS cannot therefore be held responsible for variations in color, effect, or outcome after firing.

Returns or complaints will not be accepted based on such variations. Please read more under «How to choose the right glaze» so you succeed with your glaze!


12. Customer responsibilities when ordering

The customer is responsible for checking that the order is correct before completing it.

This includes correctly:

  • product
  • color
  • size or volume
  • number of items
  • delivery address

Once an order has been dispatched from our warehouse, it cannot normally be changed or canceled. Exchange and return rights according to Norwegian law.


13. Transport damage

If a package or item is damaged during transport, the customer must document the damage with photos and contact Nordglaze AS as soon as possible.

Nordglaze AS will then review the matter and may offer a replacement product or a refund.


14. Unclaimed packages

If a package is not picked up from the pickup point within the carrier's deadline and is returned to Nordglaze AS, we reserve the right to charge the customer for costs associated with return shipping and handling.

Any refund of the purchase price may be reduced by the actual shipping costs incurred.


15. Abuse of the return scheme

Nordglaze AS reserves the right to refuse returns if the return scheme is misused or if items are repeatedly returned without a valid reason.


16. Limitation of Liability

Nordglaze AS's liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods.

Nordglaze AS cannot be held liable for indirect losses, consequential damages, or financial losses arising from the use of the products.


17. Misuse of the online store

Nordglaze AS reserves the right to cancel orders, refuse future orders, or close customer accounts if there is suspicion of abuse, fraud, or violation of our terms and conditions.


18. Complaint Handling

Any complaints should be addressed to:

If the parties do not reach an agreement, the matter may be brought before The Consumer Council or The Consumer Complaint Board.


19. Reservations

Nordglaze AS reserves the right to make corrections in case of price errors, stock errors, typing errors, and technical errors in the online store.

Nordglaze AS reserves the right to cancel orders if such errors occur.
